Financial Controller Role Overview

Amplifi Talent is partnering with an award-winning, locally owned, multi-site SME headquartered in Antrim, to recruit a suitably experienced Financial Controller on a permanent basis. With ambitious plans for growth, our client seeks a hands-on finance professional to lead and manage the finance function with a focus on control, insight, and financial guidance & support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Management Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts, analyze financial performance with commentary on variances, and develop financial KPIs for decision-making.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting and reforecasting, collaborate with departments on budgets, and build financial models for planning and scenario analysis.
3. Cashflow & Working Capital: Manage and forecast cashflow, monitor working capital, liaise with suppliers and customers, and optimize liquidity.
4. Financial Operations & Controls: Maintain internal controls, oversee finance operations (AP/AR, credit control, payroll, VAT), and coordinate with external accountants and auditors.
5. Financial/Strategic Support: Support senior management on financial strategy, funding, investments, and contribute to commercial discussions.

Person Specification

• Essential: Accounting professional with 5+ years' experience, management of management accounts and budgets, cashflow management, proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, proactive and commercially minded.
• Desirable: Experience in tech or related sector, familiarity with Sage or similar cloud-based accounting systems.
