Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is seeking a fully qualified accountant for a newly created Financial Controller role. The position reports to the CFO and is based in a 100% remote environment.

The Financial Controller will lead finance teams, ensure robust controls and regulatory compliance, manage treasury and cash flow, and drive automation and improvements across finance systems. A strong accounting qualification and senior financial experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accounting designation (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes.
• Experience managing finances in a large, complex organisation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with financial software and systems.
• Ability to lead and develop a finance team.
• Strong communication skills to convey financial insights clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the financial operations teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure strong financial controls, balance sheet integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Own treasury management, cash flow forecasting and working capital oversight.
• Lead statutory reporting, audit processes and tax compliance activities.
• Drive finance systems improvements, automation and process optimisation.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to provide accurate, timely financial information.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports and statements.

Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to put their stamp on this newly created role as Financial Controller.

Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will be responsible for (but not limited to);

• Lead and develop the financial operations teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Job Offer

• Salary of £70,000 to £80,000 dependent on the level of experience.
