Job summary

Pratap Partnership is assisting a growing SME in recruiting a Financial Controller. You’ll own the finance function, work closely with the MD and leadership team, and drive improved processes, controls, MI and commercial decision-making.

The role combines hands-on accounting with strategic oversight, including forecasting, KPIs, stock control and cost management, with genuine scope to progress beyond FC into a Finance Director position as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA required.
• SME/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Hands-on, commercially minded with ability to challenge processes and drive improvement.

Responsibilities

Pratap Partnership is working exclusively with a growing SME to recruit a Financial Controller into a newly created, high-profile position.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious FC who wants more than a traditional reporting role. You'll work closely with the MD and wider leadership team, taking ownership of the finance function while helping improve processes, controls, MI and commercial decision-making.

The role will have a strong operational focus, looking at productivity, profitability, cost control, stock, forecasting and KPIs, with the opportunity to really get under the skin of the business and influence how it operates. The successful candidate will also act as a key commercial partner to the MD and senior team.

We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who ideally comes from an SME/manufacturing environment. You'll be hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable challenging existing processes and driving improvement.

Most importantly, this business wants someone ambitious. There is genuine scope for this individual to develop beyond Financial Controller level and progress into a Finance Director position as the business grows.
