Amplifi Talent is partnering with an award-winning, locally owned, multi-site SME headquartered in Antrim, to recruit a suitably experienced Financial Controller on a permanent basis. With ambitious plans for growth, our client seeks a hands-on finance professional to lead and manage the finance function with a focus on control, insight, and financial guidance & support.

Role Overview:

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the end-to-end financial management of the business. You will support senior leadership with management accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. This is a key hire as the business scales and professionalizes its finance operations. The role may suit a seasoned Finance Manager / Controller or an ambitious Management Accountant seeking career advancement.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Management Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts; analyze financial performance; develop financial KPIs.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting; collaborate with departments on budgets; build financial models for planning.
3. Cashflow & Working Capital: Manage cashflow; monitor working capital; optimize liquidity.
4. Financial Operations & Controls: Maintain internal controls; oversee finance operations like AP/AR, payroll, VAT; coordinate with auditors.
5. Financial/Strategic Support: Support MD and CEO with financial strategy; assist in funding, investments, and commercial decisions.

Person Specification:

• Minimum 5 years accounting experience, preferably in an SME environment.
• Proven management of management accounts and budgets.
• Experience managing cashflow in a growing business.
• Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Proactive, hands-on, and commercially minded.

Desirable:

• Experience in tech or related sectors.
• Familiarity with Sage or similar cloud-based accounting systems.
