Qualifications

  • Lead Ofwat financial reporting requirements.
  • Oversee third-party billing data accuracy.
  • Produce ad hoc internal reports.
  • Support Heat billing systems setup.

Financial & Commercial Accountant
Location: Hybrid - Leatherhead, Surrey 2/3 days a week

Are you a newly qualified ACA/ACCA accountant ready to make your mark? Join us as a Financial & Commercial Accountant, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our growing water business—and soon, our exciting new heat venture.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for commercial finance, strong analytical skills, and the ambition to build processes and insights from the ground up.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition across the water business.
  • Develop and maintain robust water in/water out reconciliation processes.
  • Deliver insightful site-level P&L analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with Pricing to review and challenge cost assumptions.
  • Lead Ofwat financial reporting requirements.
  • Oversee third-party billing providers, ensuring data accuracy and reconciliation.
  • Produce ad hoc internal reports to support business needs.
  • Support the setup of Heat billing systems and processes ahead of launch, replicating water business practices as the heat business scales.
Qualifications
  • ACA/ACCA qualification.
  • Strong technical skills, especially in IT, Excel, and financial accounting.
  • Experience in utilities (water/heat) or consumer billing is a plus, but not essential.
