About the Role

We are seeking a commercially focused Financial Business Partner to support both our internal growth and that of our clients. This pivotal role involves raising capital, supporting financial due diligence processes, and helping prepare businesses for successful exits.

You will work directly with entrepreneurs, investors, and leadership teams to guide financial strategy, evaluate business performance, and drive value creation throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising and Capital Advisory

  • Lead and support capital raising activities (equity, debt, or hybrid) for both internal projects and external clients
  • Prepare compelling investor materials, including pitch decks, financial models, and business plans
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with private investors, lenders, and funding partners
  • Represent the business and clients in investor discussions and funding negotiations

Financial Due Diligence

  • Conduct thorough analysis of client financials, identifying risks, trends, and deal-critical insights
  • Prepare clear and commercially relevant due diligence reports for buy-side and sell-side processes
  • Liaise with legal, tax, and advisory teams to ensure a smooth diligence process

Strategic Support for Business Exits

  • Help clients prepare for sale by improving financial reporting, forecasting, and system robustness
  • Develop and refine valuation models and forecasts to support negotiation and marketability
  • Support business owners in structuring and negotiating deals to maximise exit value
  • Provide pre- and post-deal financial guidance, helping owners optimise outcomes
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience in fundraising, investment readiness, or M&A—on either the buy or sell side
  • A strong understanding of financial statements, modelling, valuation methods, and commercial metrics
  • Confidence working with business owners, entrepreneurs, and senior leadership
  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA) preferred but not essential with relevant experience
  • Advantageous to have prior exposure to SME environments, private equity, or advisory firms
What We Offer
  • Exposure to live transactions and high-impact strategic finance projects
  • Opportunity to work with fast-growing businesses and entrepreneurial clients
  • A flexible and collaborative working environment
  • Real influence over strategic direction and financial outcomes
