Opportunity: Financial Business Modeler

Within the Future Combat Air business unit at our Leonardo site in Luton, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Business Modeler.

Leonardo is an international leader in electronic and information technologies for defence systems, aerospace, data, infrastructures, land security and protection, and sustainable 'smart' solutions. The company designs, develops, and produces state-of-the-art equipment, software, and systems, providing through-life support to deliver the information superiority required for decisive action, mission completion, and operational security and protection.

The Global Combat Air Program (GCAP) represents the future of UK Combat Air, developing the nation's 6th gen fighter capability in collaboration with internal and international partners. GCAP integrates world-leading technology into a highly complex, integrated solution, delivered through a transformative approach. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity.

The candidate will manage and be responsible for the financial and project modelling aspects of Leonardo UK's Tri-lateral development program. This includes establishing appropriate financial and commercial models to inform the UK management team of the best international solutions.

  1. You will be responsible for various modelling activities to support work allocation decisions, utilizing available financial and program data.
  2. Support senior leadership in negotiations by providing information on economic value propositions for a Joint Venture setup.
  3. Reconcile financial data and resolve issues to ensure data integrity.
  4. Support National Value activities within the MoD to demonstrate how the FCAS portfolio supports and protects the UK.
  5. Contribute financial input during the bid process.
  6. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive and challenging mindset.
  7. Ability to re-prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  8. Focus on high-quality output and support.
  9. Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
