Job Specification: Temporary Finance Assistant – 6 month fixed term

Reporting to: Head of Finance (Fiona Hughes)

Contract: Fixed-Term (6 months), Full-Time (40 hrs)

Location: Hybrid — office based work in either Dundonald or Glasgow, up to 2 days from home

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Purpose of the Role

To provide accurate, timely, and professional support to the Finance team. You will play an important role in the day-to-day financial administration of the business, working closely with the Head of Finance and wider team to ensure the smooth running of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

·Process purchase and sales ledger transactions with a high degree of accuracy

·Record daily bank transactions

·Credit control – identify overdue accounts and work directly with customers to ensure timely payment

·Preparation of payment runs ensuring purchase invoices are paid on a timely basis

·Reconcile supplier accounts and liaise with vendors to resolve discrepancies

·General administrative duties across finance and HR

What we’re looking for

·Experience in a finance or accounts assistant role

·Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software

·Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, methodical approach

·Clear, friendly communicator, comfortable liaising with internal teams, suppliers and customers

·Self-motivated, good time-management and comfortable working independently

·Experience using an ERP system (Epicor)
