Role: Student Loan Finance Assistant

5 days per week in the office

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Student Loan Finance Assistant to deliver excellent customer service to students and support a small team with the administration and resolution of queries related to Student Loans, both UK and Overseas. This operational position involves managing student financial records, reconciling payments, and advising students on financial support options.

Qualifications and Experience:

• NVQ 4 or equivalent including English and Maths
• Medium-advanced experience in Excel
• Higher Education experience or Customer Service/Sales Ledger/Credit Control experience
• Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities
• Knowledge of Student Finance England and prior student loan/finance experience

Responsibilities:

• Manage and reconcile payments from UK and international loan providers
• Advise students on financial support options, including loans, FEAs, bursaries, and scholarships
• Maintain accurate student financial records and process adjustments with external agencies
• Ensure compliance with regulations and accurate billing processes
• Provide excellent customer service to enhance the student experience
• Manage complex data and resolve financial queries effectively
