Job description

Aureos, formerly known as Keltbray, is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to support our Energy Business Division. This position is based at our Crewe office, five days a week.

Aureos is a multi-disciplinary energy and transport networks specialist engineering services provider. We operate across the design, engineering, installation, maintenance, and crisis response of critical infrastructures in sectors such as power, renewables, nuclear decommissioning, railways, highways, and local government.

Role Responsibilities
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Prepare journal entries for month-end closing
  • Process monthly expenses
  • Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support year-end audit processes
  • Conduct intercompany reconciliations
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation postings
  • Process weekly adhoc payments
  • Collaborate with the commercial team and other stakeholders
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required
Experience & Qualifications
  • Working towards AAT qualification or studying CIMA/ACCA
  • Proficient in Excel
Additional Responsibilities
  • Prepare management accounts for two business units
  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations
  • Prepare journal entries for month-end and year-end
  • Ensure all actions are documented in monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with year-end audit schedules and testing
  • Perform cash forecasting
  • Handle VAT return preparation
  • Review monthly expenses and prepare payments
