Financial Assessment Team Leader needed in Southampton Paying £20.98 per hr ref 5273345

Full time hours on a temporary basis

We are seeking a knowledgeable and empathetic Financial Assessment Team Leader to lead a team responsible for assessing client contributions toward social care services. You will work directly with clients and their representatives to determine financial liabilities, provide expert advice on funding options, and ensure compliance with national and local policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess capital, property, and income to calculate care contributions.
  • Liaise with clients, care teams, and providers to ensure fair and accurate charging.
  • Advise on top-ups, deferred payments, and debt recovery.
  • Support clients in accessing eligible welfare benefits.
  • Escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately.
  • Provide guidance to social work teams and senior managers on financial assessments and benefits.
  • Signpost clients to independent financial advice where needed.
