We are looking for an organised and professional person to become the next successful Financial Assessment and Advice Team Manager, who will be responsible for leading the continued success of the Funding Team, within Adult Care and Wellbeing. This is a rare opportunity.

The successful person will be responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of a number of Financial Assessment and Advice Officers to complete financial assessments in line with the Care Act. Experience of this legislation will be an essential part of the work.

The successful person will need to be able to use a number of different IT systems to perform this role. You would need to complete all mandatory training in line with Council Policies, and make sure that GDPR is adhered to.

The successful person will be expected to manage the following:

  • Applications for Deferred Payment Agreement
  • Capital Drops
  • Pre assessment Funding requests
  • Complaints / MP and Councillor Enquiries
  • Appeals process and Ombudsman cases

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide pay slip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
