Responsibilities
- Ensuring effective control and robust governance structures and reporting review including RCSA (Risk & Control Self-Assessment) and RCM (Regulatory Compliance Management).
- Ongoing development of process control strength and identification of potential processing risks and their remediation.
- Overseeing a quality assurance framework consisting of attestation, reconciliations, management, review evidence, EUCs and sample checking complemented by periodic internal and external reviews of various reports, as appropriate.
- Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive document library including end to end processes and procedures across all relevant functions.
- Continuous improvement of existing processes through automation and enhancement to controls.

Experience / Qualifications
- Finance qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CFA) will be beneficial to this role because of the focus on creating a strong control environment.
- Extensive experience working in a reporting or control environment and experience of regulatory reporting requirements
- Strong understanding of financial statements
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Accounting experience
- Knowledge of Capital Markets products notably: cash securities, repos and derivatives along with a strong commercial acumen, knowledge and understanding of Financial Services/banking processes
Nice to have
- Qualified Business Analyst completed or in progress
- Experience in Finance Change and project related accreditations completed or in progress (such as Agile Product Owner, Lean Six Sigma).
