Job summary

Frasers Group is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Finance team. You will develop, analyse and create tools, models and reports used by the business, with a numbers-driven mindset and clear communication to stakeholders.

You will update a bi-yearly forecast report, produce ad-hoc analyses of store forecasts in Excel, and write optimized SQL queries for large data sets. The role involves collaborating globally and driving financial automation projects.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills; VBA and Power Query are a plus.
• Strong financial skills with professional qualifications (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA).
• Proficient in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Dream).

Responsibilities

Job Description

Asa Financial Analyst role where you will be working as part of the Finance team, focusing on developing, analysing & creating tools/models/reports used by the business. You must have an analytical, numbers-driven mindset, strong communication skills & be able to adapt to fast paced, ever changing business environments.

Role Description:

Update and maintain a key bi-yearly excel financial forecast report within the business - collecting data from stakeholders, validating and analysing inputs, and delivering summary insights.

Produce ad-hoc reports and perform detailed analysis of store forecasts using Excel.

Write and optimise database queries.

Working with large data sets - analysing, interpreting & drawing conclusions to support business critical decisions.

Assist in the implementation of financial automation projects.

Identify and question trends, whilst providing rationale to senior decision-makers.

Collaborate with both financial and non-financial stakeholders across the global business.

Qualifications

Essential Core Skills:

Advanced Excel skills. Experience with VBA and Power Query is a plus.

Strong financial skills, supported by relevant financial qualifications (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA).

Proficient in SQL, and experience working with relational databases.

Experience in working with accounting software (e.g. Dream).

Essential Interpersonal Skills:

Able to hold your own in meetings and confident talking to senior stakeholders

Able to manage and prioritise workload.

Strong problem-solving ability & a commercial mindset

Able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.

Proactive, independent, self-starter who is ready to jump in and get things done.

Advantageous Skills:

Familiarity with Airtable.

Experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
