Job description

Blair West are working in partnership with Bloom Procurement, who are recruiting a Finance Analyst in a newly created role following an organisational restructure. Reporting to Commercial Insights Manager Polly Walker, this position will act as a conduit between the data engineering team and the wider finance team, playing a key supporting role in delivering insights, analysis, and reports across the business.

The opportunity:

  1. Analyse Bloom’s weekly payment data to ensure compliance with both the framework and prompt payment code.
  2. Produce weekly opportunity pipeline reporting.
  3. Analyse month-end working capital exposure and support both short-term and long-term cashflow forecasting.
  4. Calculate weekly and monthly KPIs for the Finance and Growth function.
  5. Produce monthly Buyer and Supplier reporting data for Month end.
  6. Combine external spending data with internal data to produce accurate and relevant market analysis to aid in both measuring Bloom’s ongoing market performance and identifying opportunities for growth.
  7. Support Revenue forecasting, measuring forecasting assumptions across the Opportunity to Cash cycle.
  8. Combine CRM and Financial data to calculate the Growth function’s quarterly commission payments.
  9. Analyse and monitor project data to ensure accuracy and support periodic data cleansing.
  10. Work closely with the Data Engineering team to support Reporting standardisation and automation.
  11. Maintain strong data governance across the business through controlled use of data and compliance with ISO 27001 guidelines.

You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

  1. An AAT qualified and/or embarked on a further accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
  2. Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables and data visualization.
  3. Experience in financial analysis, preferably in a similar role within a complex, data-driven environment.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  5. The ability to translate complex financial data into clear and concise reports and presentations for non-financial stakeholders.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  7. A curious mindset with the ability to multitask, prioritise, meet deadlines and innovate in a fast-paced environment.
  8. A self-motivated, adaptable, and open approach to learning new technologies and methodologies.
