Job description

Job Title: Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join the team! As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing business performance for Sysmex Ireland, partnering with key stakeholders within the organization to aid forward planning and ensure the financials accurately represent business activity.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Reporting to the Group on the forecast P&L in a timely and accurate manner, providing insights into key performance drivers, and ensuring assigned Balance Sheet accounts are fully reconciled with high-quality supporting schedules.
  2. Supporting Sysmex UK reporting as needed, particularly on overheads.
  3. Overseeing the MSC Billing function, ensuring customers are invoiced correctly and promptly, and managing the 3rd-party partner supply chain effectively.
  4. Reviewing all sales documentation relating to analyser sales to ensure correct IFRS accounting prior to processing.
  5. Constructing the annual budget for Sysmex Ireland, ensuring adherence to internal controls (J-SOX), and leading the preparation of supporting schedules for auditors.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the production and delivery of monthly accounts and supporting documentation.
  • Supporting the delivery of the annual audit.
  • Managing the monthly company forecast and liaising with the Group on arising matters.
  • Developing, streamlining, and enhancing financial management and reporting processes.
  • Providing timely and robust financial analysis.
  • Playing a key role in the annual budgeting process and consolidating the company budget.
  • Ensuring internal controls and systems are effective, reviewing current systems for continuous improvement.
  • Handling billing, cost recognition, and preparing contract summary packs.

Candidate profile:

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with PowerPoint.
