Job Description

Financial Analyst

  • Prepare detailed financial reports, monthly management accounts, and variance analyses.
  • Analyze production costs, overheads, and profitability at the product and plant levels.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational goals.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support short- and long-term planning.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory valuation.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and work with operations to optimize efficiency.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, labor, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with production managers to understand operational challenges and their financial impact.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to non-finance stakeholders, including production, supply chain, and senior management.
  • Support strategic initiatives and investment decisions with robust financial analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Assist with audits and compliance reporting as needed

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Analyst should have:

  • Studying toward ACCA or CIMA
  • Proficiency in financial software and databases.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
  • Solid knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
