Job description

Energy Aspects are excited to have an opportunity for a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our newly established Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team within our fast-growing organisation.

This role will be pivotal in shaping the financial future of our company by providing insightful analysis and data-driven decision support. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing robust financial models, forecasting, and performance metrics that will drive our business forward. As part of a newly created function, you will have the unique opportunity to influence and build processes from the ground up, contributing to the overall success and scalability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of budgeting and forecasting processes, including the creation of forecast models, cash flow projections, and performance monitoring against established budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage and optimise business intelligence tools and dashboards to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Support the month-end closing process and the preparation of Management Information (MI) reports, providing insightful analysis.
  • Analyse and report on key business performance drivers to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Oversee revenue reporting, including KPI analysis and revenue accruals management.
  • Facilitate the development and integration of efficient processes across finance and other business functions.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses as required to support various business needs.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a commercial role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with experience in financial systems.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI/Power Query is advantageous.
  • High proficiency in financial modelling and reporting.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Part qualified finalist or qualified in ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent.
  • Experience with using dashboards and other visualisations to deliver data-driven insights.
  • Commercially minded with a strategic approach to business challenges.
  • Experience in SaaS or professional services is preferred.
