Job Description:

The Financial Analyst works through the Profit Protection team reporting to the Pricing Director. This role involves revenue management and cost analysis to influence business decisions, including reviewing shipping patterns to identify opportunities for increased yields, network density improvement, and cost reduction, along with trend monitoring, analysis, scenario management, and forecasting.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Act as a knowledge source to company leaders by providing performance reporting and insights into margin trends.
2. Track and audit incoming agent costs by developing Excel/Tableau tools.
3. Analyze complex shipment information to provide accurate and timely reporting and recommendations.
4. Manage ad hoc and routine analytical requests for logistics and billing management.
5. Identify data gaps and develop techniques to overcome findings, delivering accurate, on-time reports.
6. Communicate risks to senior staff with mitigation recommendations.
7. Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures; update project plans as needed.
8. Recommend and guide process improvements.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Advanced experience with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in Tableau; SQL skills are a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial implications of strategic decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, capable of delivering ad hoc presentations to senior management.
• Proven collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Results-oriented with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of deliverables.
• Organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with and interpret large datasets; data mining skills are desirable.

Experience & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of analytics experience.
