Leeds/Hybrid.

The role:

The Financial Analyst will support the Senior FP&A Manager in driving FP&A across the business to maximize performance. The successful candidate will assist in producing quarterly re-forecasts, the annual budget, maintaining financial models, preparing monthly/quarterly reports, and providing analysis to support Department Leaders.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in preparing the annual budget (P&L, B/S, Cash flow, Capital Budget).
  2. Collaborate with Department and Division budget owners to complete accurate forecasts with commentaries and insights.
  3. Prepare quarterly reforecasts (P&L, B/S, Cash flow, Capital spend).
  4. Maintain financial models to support decision-making and opportunity assessment.
  5. Understand and maximize ERP system reporting functionalities.
  6. Prepare month-end reports for 4 Divisions and Consolidated.
  7. Manage Financial Metrics reporting, including Customer Gross Margin, and support stakeholders in interpretation.
  8. Oversee Department variance reports and conduct monthly reviews.
  9. Ensure reconciliation with Group Reporting, understanding allocations.
  10. Contribute to financial and reporting projects, ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
Measures of success:
  1. Ownership of activities to achieve positive outcomes, prioritizing effectively.
  2. Flexibility to adjust outputs as needed with minimal resistance.
  3. Clear verbal and written communication.
  4. Problem-solving skills, identifying root causes and contributing factors systematically.
Essential qualifications and experience:
  • Part-Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
  • Up to 1-2 years proven experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and knowledge of MS Office.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is an asset.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct, MS Dynamics, Financial Force, and Salesforce is an asset.
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning or similar tools is an asset.
