Pay and Location

£300 per day – 2 days a week onsite based in London – 6 month contract.

Overview

As a Junior Client Finance Analyst, you will be a vital supporting member of our finance operations team, playing a hands‑on role in ensuring the smooth financial management of client accounts. Reporting to a Senior Client Finance Analyst (and indirectly to the Finance Operations Manager), you will assist with daily financial tasks, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the overall working capital performance of the agency.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Senior Client Finance Analysts with daily financial activities.
  • Support the billing process by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring timely issuance of client invoices.
  • Help manage accounts receivable, including following up on outstanding payments and addressing client queries under senior guidance.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and dashboards related to working capital, aged debtors, and unbilled positions for assigned client accounts.
  • Collect and organise financial data for analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure all financial transactions and activities comply with internal policies, client contracts, and financial requirements.
  • Assist with the maintenance of proper financial documentation and records, contributing to audit readiness.
  • Learn and adhere to best practices for financial processes, contributing to operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively with client account teams, shared service centre colleagues, and other internal departments to resolve financial queries.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally on financial matters as guided by your Senior Analyst.
  • Actively participate in training and development opportunities to deepen understanding of financial operations, working capital management, and media finance industry specifics.
  • Seek guidance and feedback from Senior Analysts and the Finance Operations Manager to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications (What You’ll Bring)

  • Familiarity with financial systems or Media Ocean applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • General computer literacy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data handling.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, eager‑to‑learn attitude with a desire to build a career in finance.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
