About the Client

Our client is a well-established Chartered Financial Planning firm with a rich heritage. Led by two experienced Chartered Financial Planners, the company has built an outstanding reputation for delivering clear, professional financial advice tailored to each client's unique needs and circumstances. With offices strategically located across the Southwest, they serve a diverse and loyal client base through a holistic approach to financial planning.

About the Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious Financial Advisor to join a thriving practice and take ownership of a substantial client portfolio. Based primarily in the North Devon and Somerset area, you will manage client relationships both in the office environment and through home visits, providing flexibility and personal service that clients truly value.

You will inherit a healthy and very warm client bank with Assets Under Management of at least £30 million, plus benefit from a steady stream of new client opportunities and warm leads. The role offers excellent support through dedicated administration and paraplanning teams, allowing you to focus on what you do best - building relationships and growing the business.

Financial Advisor Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop relationships with an existing portfolio of high-value clients
  • Conduct comprehensive financial planning reviews and provide strategic advice on investments, pensions, and protection
  • Deliver face-to-face meetings both at the office and in clients' homes across the Taunton and North Devon area
  • Identify opportunities within the existing client bank to expand and enhance service provision
  • Generate new business through referrals and professional networking activities
  • Prepare detailed financial planning reports and recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with the paraplanning and administrative teams to deliver exceptional client service
  • Stay current with market developments, regulatory changes, and industry best practices
Financial Advisor Requirements
  • You will be a Chartered Financial Planner or have a willingness to train
  • Proven track record in financial services with demonstrable business development success
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust and rapport quickly
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience managing high-net-worth client relationships
  • Sound knowledge of investment products, pension planning, and protection solutions
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance procedures
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client homes
  • Professional approach with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently whilst contributing to team objectives
Benefits
  • Competitive salary between £50,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
  • Performance-related bonus scheme
  • Company pension scheme
  • 25 days annual leave plus office closure during Christmas period
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Full-time permanent position with excellent career progression opportunities
  • Professional development funding towards Chartered status
  • Modern office facilities with flexible working arrangements
The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a skilled relationship builder and experienced financial adviser who thrives on developing long-term client partnerships. You will have a proven track record of managing substantial client portfolios and generating new business through exceptional service delivery and professional networking.

You should be someone who takes genuine satisfaction in helping clients achieve their financial goals whilst building a successful and rewarding career for yourself. The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team is essential, along with the drive and ambition to grow both personally and professionally within this established and respected firm.
