Job summary

Chase and Holland Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a global business to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager in Market Rasen. You will own the UK financial and management accounts, lead a four‑person team and partner with senior finance colleagues across the Group.

The role focuses on ownership, leadership and continuous improvement, with a hybrid working pattern (2 days from home). You will drive improvements through to implementation and guide both finance and non-finance colleagues.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA or CIMA) with proven experience in financial accounting.
• Solid understanding of month-end and management accounts reporting.
• Experience leading or managing an audit process.
• Experience managing, developing and coaching a finance team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to financial accuracy.
• Confident working with senior stakeholders across the business.
• Proactive approach to process improvement, systems and reporting.
• Energy and initiative; problem solver who drives improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a four-person finance team and foster a high-performing environment.
• Own all aspects of UK financial and management accounts reporting.
• Lead the preparation and submission of Group reporting packs.
• Manage treasury, cashbook and cash flow activities.
• Oversee the annual audit with external auditors and tax advisers.
• Prepare statutory accounts and key reconciliations including intra-group.
• Manage tax compliance, pension relationships and royalty accounting.
• Collaborate with Controlling on budgets and forecasts.
• Support and improve finance systems and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive implementation.
• Provide guidance and training to finance and non-finance colleagues.

Are you an experienced Financial Accounting Manager looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact?

We're working exclusively with a successful, established international business to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager to lead its UK accounting function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys ownership, leadership and continuous improvement, and who wants the freedom to challenge existing processes and make a real difference.

You'll lead a team of four Accounts Assistants, taking responsibility for the day-to-day financial accounting function while partnering closely with senior finance colleagues across the wider Group.

What will you be doing?

You’ll have broad ownership across the UK finance function, including:

• Leading and developing a team of four, creating a positive, high-performing finance environment
• Taking ownership of all aspects of financial and management accounts reporting
• Leading the preparation and submission of Group reporting packs, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are consistently achieved
• Managing treasury, cashbook and cash flow activities
• Taking the lead on the annual audit, working closely with external auditors and tax advisers
• Preparing statutory accounts and overseeing key financial reconciliations, including intra-group
• Managing tax compliance, pension relationships and royalty accounting
• Working closely with the Controlling team on budgets and forecasts
• Supporting and improving finance systems and reporting
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting - and, importantly, driving those improvements through to implementation
• Providing guidance and training to both finance and non-finance colleagues

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with leadership ability and a genuine appetite for improvement.

You’ll ideally have:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA or CIMA) with proven experience in a similar financial accounting environment
• A solid understanding of month-end and management accounts reporting
• Experience leading or managing an audit process
• Experience managing, developing and coaching a finance team
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to financial accuracy
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and across different areas of the business
• A proactive approach to process improvement, systems and reporting
