Financial Accounting and Advisory Specialist Associate Director

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accounting and Advisory Specialist Associate Director to join our team. At RSM UK, our consulting team offers diverse advisory expertise across six core solutions: business transformation, forensic, deal services, restructuring, finance function support, and risk and governance.

The successful candidate will be based in London, Bristol, Reading, Guildford, Stoke, Chester, Leeds, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Preston, Liverpool, or Manchester. You will work on a broad range of technical accounting, financial reporting, and business advisory projects, leading on complex and technically challenging assignments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Handling technically complex projects involving accounting standards under FRS102, IFRS, and FRS101, group reconstructions, conversion to different GAAPs, technical accounting papers, and acquisition accounting support.
• Contributing to business growth through proposals, supporting partners, and participating in industry and channel development.
• Coaching and developing junior staff, and building skills in business development.
• Leading delivery of complex accounting projects such as IFRS transition consultancy.

Ideal candidate:

• ACA qualified or equivalent.
• Experience with UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting.
• Background in professional practice or providing accounting advice to clients.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience supervising and coaching junior staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
