Financial Accountant (UK&I)
This role sits within the Building Operations & Experience ("BOE") segment of CBRE looking after the UK & Ireland ("UK&I") business, which has an annual turnover of circa $3bn, in the Financial Reporting sub-team in Controllership. A team responsible for many areas including balance sheet reconciliations, the balance sheet flux, SOX controls and payroll. Specifically, the day-to-day responsibilities of this position are focused on payroll.
What You'll Do
• Post payroll during month-end close by established deadlines for the 3x UK&I entities totalling 10,000+ employees.
• Act as an effective business partner between Controllership and Business Finance to assist with payroll queries.
• Prepare payroll balance sheet reconciliations in line with SOX requirements.
• Execute key payroll SOX controls ensuring that the control is completed by set deadlines and a high quality of documentation is produced.
• Assist with any queries that are raised by Controllership leadership, the EMEA Reporting & Oversight team and the US Corporate team.
• Help maintain process notes on payroll controls and processes.
• Continually seek to identify process efficiencies that could be implemented.
• In conjunction with the other reporting team members, when necessary assist in delivery of Group and Statutory audits deliverables in line with internal & external / statutory deadlines.
What You'll Need
• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant or equivalent
• Experience of working with UK (and potentially Ireland) payroll
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Big 4 external audit experience highly desirable
