Job summary

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an established organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant – Projects & Investments. The role blends hands-on accounting with investment reporting, governance and strategic projects in a Family Office context.

You will drive enhancements to finance processes and systems, while delivering accurate wealth and investment reporting. Hybrid working is available after training and probation, with potential progression into senior management.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience reviewing financial information to a high standard.
• Experience improving finance processes, systems or ways of working.
• A genuine interest in technology, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues, management and external suppliers.
• Integrity and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of finance, investment reporting and compliance activities.
• Lead on strategic projects and process improvements.
• Assist with investment reporting, asset revaluations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Review wealth reporting information for accuracy and timely delivery.
• Develop and maintain systems/records for investment information.
• Support management accounts, financial statements, VAT returns and audit information.
• Contribute to governance and company secretarial requirements.
