Qualifications

  • Junior PQ or Part-qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar financial or assistant accountant role.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and month-end procedures.

Job Description

  • Process and review daily banking transactions
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly forecasting and variance analysis
  • Prepare and post prepayments and accruals
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and policies
  • Use Oracle for financial processing and reporting
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support as required

The Successful Applicant

  • Junior PQ or Part-qualified accountant or qualified by experience (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a similar financial or assistant accountant role
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and month-end procedures
  • Experienced working with Oracle.
  • Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
