Job Description

The key duties of the role are as followed:

• Prepare monthly financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
• Complete VAT returns and year-end statutory accounts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain the financial ledger and account reconciliations.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
• Support the month-end and year-end close process.
• Manage financial audit processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement of the accounting process.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

• Previous NHS experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
