Financial Accountant, Hop

As a Financial Accountant within our global reporting team, you will report on the HOP (rapid grocery delivery) part of the business. This will include monthly reporting, working with auditors, and ensuring that statutory requirements are met. You will report to the Grocery Finance Manager and be based at our HQ in London (Cannon Street). We operate on a hybrid model, with you in the office three times a week.

What you'll do:

1. Report on each month-end, post journals, and perform balance sheet reconciliations;
2. Conduct monthly variance analysis of the P&L;
3. Liaise with business partners and site managers to ensure accurate site-level receipting and reporting;
4. Provide analysis of site-level opex to the Finance & Strategy team each month-end, explaining significant variances to the budget;
5. Process property costs (fund requests) from our property management at a site level;
6. Manage capex spend and monitor it for Finance & Strategy and site managers;
7. Enhance reporting processes for HOP by collaborating with departments like site operations and analytics;
8. Assist with year-end audit requests and statutory reporting;
9. Coordinate with the wider reporting team on group-level processes and take responsibility for specific tasks as needed.
