Job Description

We have an opportunity to join the IQ EQ Group Finance Audit and Control team in the Isle of Man on a contract basis, to cover a period of maternity leave. The team is responsible for setting financial control policy for subsidiary entities around the world, technical IFRS specialism, and associated accounting papers, coordination of the Group external audit process, and preparation of the Group’s consolidated IFRS financial statements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Monthly control of Inter-Company accounts and reconciliations
  2. Monthly preparation of the Group’s consolidation journals
  3. Preparation of other financial and management reporting information as required
  4. Support the preparation and drafting of the Group’s Consolidated Financial Statements and supporting notes (prepared under IFRS)
  5. Preparation of balance sheets and balance sheet reconciliations for Intermediate Holding Companies managed by the team
  6. Support preparation of accounting papers, valuations, and journals for mergers and acquisitions
  7. Assist in delivery of certain Group Finance projects

Qualifications

Requirements include:

  1. ACA or ACCA recently qualified
  2. Experience managing external audits and working with auditors
  3. Strong working knowledge of IFRS
  4. Knowledge of FRS 102 and Lux GAAP (preferable)
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  6. Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  7. Experience with Sun accounting system (advantageous)
