PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £53,000 plus £5319 London Weighting depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Join our Brands & Licensing finance team as a Financial Accountant on a 12-month FTC. You'll play a key role in supporting actuals and reporting across Global Brands & Digital, including Marketing, Digital, and New Business. You'll lead the relationship with our outsourced service provider, ensuring accurate, timely month-end delivery. You will drive the transition of operational tasks to our outsourced service provider to enable greater focus on value-add analysis and stakeholder support. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's driven to continually improve processes, strengthen controls and who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders to help them understand and take ownership of their financial results.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Lead accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for Brands & Digital, ensuring compliance with internal controls and reporting standards.
- Manage the relationship with the outsourced service provider by providing clear direction, resolving issues efficiently, and supporting the transition of operational tasks.
- Deliver insightful variance analysis and business commentary to Group Finance and senior stakeholders, helping them understand and take ownership of their financial results.
- Implement and embed ICFR controls, maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations, and support quarterly Finance Director sign-offs to strengthen the financial control environment.
- Collaborate with Group Finance, Tax, Treasury, and other central teams to enhance reporting processes, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement across the finance function.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Newly or partly qualified accountant e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting expertise
- Balances priorities effectively, manages expectations, escalates blockers early to ensure deadlines are met
- Proactive, self-starter and committed to continuous improvement
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen
- Confident communicator, with the ability to manage third-party relationships and support stakeholders of varying levels
- Advanced Excel skills
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Media experience in large matrix organisations is advantageous but not essential
