Financial Accountant, Centrica Energy Assets - Windsor

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our team. You will support the Financial Controller and the Financial Control Manager to uphold high standards of financial control across Centrica Power. Your responsibilities include financial accounting, controls, governance, and integrity, providing accurate financial reporting and facilitating collaboration with business and finance teams.

Location: Flexible working arrangements with required commuting to Windsor office as needed.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Manage all transactional accounting and reporting activities, including month-end and post-month-end processes.
2. Perform balance sheet reviews and reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities.
3. Apply appropriate accounting policies (e.g., IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 3, IAS 16) accurately.
4. Support the financial control framework and drive process improvements, automation, and system integration.
5. Assist with external and statutory audits.

Requirements:

• Recently qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or part-qualified with relevant experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
• Pro-active, flexible, motivated, with advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Power Query and Power BI is advantageous.
