Job summary

Harmonic Finance, partnered with a fast-growing digital sports media business in Manchester, seeks a Financial Accountant on a 12-month FTC to own two acquired entities’ month-ends and help migrate processes onto the Workday platform. The role blends ownership with automation, Excel-driven controls, and collaboration across finance and production teams.

Hybrid work arrangement: four days in the Manchester office and one day from home, with ASAP start and potential permanent extension.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA finalist or qualified by experience.
• Strong Excel skills and interest in finance systems, AI tools and automation.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with ownership potential.
• Strong communication with non-finance and creative teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end accounts for two acquired content companies.
• Manage end-to-end purchase order process with approvals and recording.
• Process and reconcile intercompany recharges.
• Support migration of finance processes onto Workday, targeted for November.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor cash across entities.
• Collaborate with production teams on forecasting and cost visibility.
• Design and implement new processes and controls for acquired entities.
• Identify opportunities to automate finance processes using Excel and AI tools.
