At MS Amlin, our Finance team plays a central role in driving the success of our evolving business. As we navigate a period of significant change, the team is central to delivering both financial and regulatory reporting-supporting strategic priorities across the organisation. With 2025 and 2026 set to be pivotal years, we're embedding new ways of working, continuing to report UK GAAP to Lloyd's while implementing IFRS 17 reporting for Head Office.

What you'll spend your time doing:
- The preparation and presentation of Lloyd's regulatory returns and statutory accounts, including all Solvency UK reporting;
- Ensuring the production of all Lloyd's Syndicate reporting in line with regulatory requirements and complies with the appropriate accounting standards;
- Continuously seeking to improve and champion automation, deliver Right First Time information and develop processes as systems develop and the Business changes.
- The production of high quality and reliable MI packs and Board papers, providing insight and in-depth analysis to senior stakeholders including the MS Amlin CFO, Chair of the Audit Committee and Head of Strategy, Financial Planning and Performance.
- Work closely with the Regulatory Reporting Manager preparing and producing financial returns for a high level of deliverables.
- Preparation of all regulatory reporting outputs for the syndicates, including QMA, QMB, QSR, SII, QF1/AF1, US Reporting, Canadian Reporting, FCA/PRA reporting, statutory accounts, distribution files, taxation reporting, working closely with the wider Finance team and Data Manager to deliver on time.
- Provide high-quality MI reporting packs to a wide range of stakeholders to support the overall corporate strategy.
- Provide support and guidance for the wider Finance team in the recording of insurance technical and non-technical transactions in the relevant ledgers of the Syndicate, Managing Agency and Corporate member.
- Keep up-to-date with changes to regulatory reporting requirements for the Lloyd's syndicate and all relevant accounting standards, including all department functions with responsibility for Lloyd's deliverables.
- Support in the delivery of ad hoc reporting requirement/requests to support the CFO and requests from Lloyd's, the PRA, Auditors and any Board members.
- Preparation of audit files for management reviews and external auditors, maintaining a professional relationship.
- Working cross-functionally with parties involved in the delivery of regulatory returns, in particular the Finance Operations Team, Actuarial and wider FP&A Team, to ensure the end result is delivered in the timeframe and within standards required.
- Preparation of statutory accounts for group companies, including corporate members, liaising with internal technical experts and external auditors.
- Manage the timely production of reports ensuring that they are in accordance with relevant timetables and there is sufficient time for in-depth management reviews.
- Manage and Production of analytical tools and analytical memos supporting individual reports
- Keeping up with all technical aspects affecting the production of syndicate returns. UK GAAP reporting and new bridge between IFRS17 reporting for Head office.

What you'll need:- Qualified accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
- Ideally experience in the Lloyd's market.
- Experience with financial software is required.
- Good written and oral communication.
- Ideally knowledge/exposure of Lloyd's syndicate reporting requirements as an accountant or auditor.
- Experience with live syndicates is required.
- Advanced experience of using Excel, Word, Access.
- Technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP and IFRS).
- Experience with accounting software (Oracle) desirable
- Working knowledge of Solvency II reporting requirements.
