Salary: £52,354 - £55,000 Per Annum
Location: Home-based UK

The role

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to be responsible for the smooth running of NDCS’ financial operations, liaising with a wide range of staff within NDCS and external auditors. You’ll be working with and supporting finance colleagues, auditors and a wide range of other staff to ensure accurate accounting on our finance system and to facilitate timely, high quality monthly management information to our budget holders and ensure accurate and compliant reporting for our year end accounts.

What you'll do

  1. Responsible for the month end closure processes, supporting the team to ensure management reporting to key stakeholders is accurate.
  2. Carry out year-end closure and accounting processes in accordance with agreed timescales.
  3. Oversight of balance sheet accounts and reconciliations, following up with other members of the team as appropriate.
  4. Monthly reconciliation of key income streams between the CRM and the finance system.
  5. Development of processes within finance ensuring a LEAN approach.

What you'll need

  1. Strong technical financial accounting skills (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or QBE).
  2. Experience of using a wide range of finance systems and reporting tools, preferably SUN and Q&A.
  3. Experience of using Blackbaud CRM or similar CRM (desirable).
  4. Experience of accounts payable and receivables (desirable).
  5. Strong digital skills and a sound understanding of agile values & principles.
  6. A criminal record check / DBS disclosure (if offered the position).
