- Job Title: Financial Accountant

We're looking for a Financial Accountant to join the UK Finance team at AB Neo. In this role, you'll support the Finance Manager to deliver accurate financial reporting, maintain effective financial controls, and ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
What You'll Be Doing:- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP or IFRS
- Manage and perform key balance sheet reconciliations, journal postings, and financial controls
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including audit preparation and liaison
- Assist with VAT, corporation tax, and other statutory reporting requirements
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Get involved in finance-led projects, including ERP implementation and process improvements
- Collaborate across teams and regions, supporting international finance activity where required
What You'll Bring:- Qualified or finalist in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA - or equivalent experience in a financial accounting or audit role
- Solid knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems
- A keen focus on precision, thoroughness, and a methodical way of thinking in all tasks
- Capability to organize tasks efficiently and solve problems proactively after initial training
- Proficient communication skills - able to explain financial matters clearly to non-financial colleagues
- A collaborative, motivated approach and commitment to continuous improvement
- Flexibility to travel occasionally and to be in the office 2-3 days per week depending on location

Some occasional travel within the UK or to other AB Agri locations may be required, but this will be limited and planned in advance.
