The Opportunity

Worldline Merchant Services, with €3.3bn revenue, is establishing a new entity in the UK to serve our ambitions in this key market. Our goal is to become a leading provider of acquiring services in the UK, offering value and opportunities to merchants of all sizes.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team in the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Manage balance sheet substantiation, including trial balance and analysis.
  • Oversee financial transactions related to the balance sheet, such as accruals, provisions, and fixed assets.
  • Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Manage the annual audit process and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Handle all aspects of tax, including corporation, deferred, and PAYE.
  • Ensure accurate submission of VAT returns.
  • Manage cash landing processes and oversee outsourced GFS teams.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and stay updated on accounting standards and regulations.
Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in financial accounting within financial services, with audit exposure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CMA).
  • Strong understanding of IFRS standards.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience in scalable businesses and global organizations.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
