Job description

Financial Accountant, Up to 75,000 Base + Benefits, Hybrid Working Included i.e. 2 days a week in the office, 3 from home, Staines upon Thames, Lovely Company with Great Culture.

Overview of the Financial Accountant:

We are seeking a Qualified Financial Accountant who is technically strong, systems-savvy, and commercially aware. Experience in a SaaS or multi-entity environment is helpful, as is exposure to acquisition accounting and system integrations (particularly NetSuite and Salesforce). The Financial Accountant role is a new one within the business, therefore you can really get to shape, mould and drive the position.

Responsibilities:

Leading or supporting month-end close: journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets

Preparing group consolidations and supporting the production of consolidated management and statutory accounts.

Maintaining intercompany accounts and supporting overseas entity integrations.Overseeing payroll accounting and reconciliations (UK and international).

Preparing and submitting VAT returns and liaising with advisors on EU VAT as needed.

Supporting the year-end audit process and working with external auditors.

Assisting with acquisition accounting, including purchase price allocations, opening balance sheets, and integration into group reporting.

Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure revenue and billing accuracy between Salesforce and NetSuite (ARM experience a bonus).

Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and automation.

Supporting ad hoc analysis and technical accounting memos as needed.

What's in your DNA/Experience Needed:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent).

  • Industry experience in a finance team, ideally with at least one role outside of practice.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS / UK GAAP).

  • Experience with NetSuite (essential); Salesforce knowledge a plus.

  • Comfortable in a dynamic, high-growth environment where systems and processes are

    evolving.

  • Strong attention to detail, but pragmatic and commercially aware.

  • Exposure to acquisition accounting and integration preferred.

  • Excellent communicator who enjoys working cross-functionally.

  • Ambitious, proactive, and open to shaping a role as the business grows

  • Comfortable with license/SaaS and project based revenue recognition.
