• Experience with debt securitisation reporting is an advantage.

Financial Accountant – Hybrid (Southampton with occasional London travel)

We’re excited to be working with an award-winning financial services company to find a newly qualified Financial Accountant with strong technical skills, a strategic mindset, and a sharp eye for detail. The Role

As a Financial Accountant, you'll support statutory, regulatory, and lender reporting across a multi-entity group, working under both FRS102 and IAS. From financial statements and FCA returns to facility reporting and external audit, you'll ensure the business meets its external obligations to the highest standards, while helping to shape processes and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements (individual and group) under FRS102 and IAS
• Support technical accounting projects and implement reporting changes
• Contribute to year-end processes, including journals and audit deliverables
• Assist with FCA returns and regular reporting to funders and lenders
• Liaise with auditors, advisers, and internal teams to support accurate delivery
• Play a key role in external audit workstreams
• Undertake ad hoc reporting and financial tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Newly qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA), with a solid academic and professional track record
• Experience in statutory or regulatory reporting, ideally within financial services or audit
• Strong knowledge of FRS102, IAS, and awareness of IAS39 / IFRS9
• Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator able to partner with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience with debt securitisation reporting and NetSuite is an advantage
