Job summary

Greenwell Gleeson, a market-leading international renewables group, seeks a qualified accountant to own the UK finance function and partner with European entities. You’ll drive month-end, balance sheets and cash flow, with scope across reporting, FP&A and commercial finance.

Working with the Group FC and CFO, you’ll shape financial insight, support audits, and drive continuous improvement in controls while developing your career in a fast-growth business at the forefront of sustainable energy.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong financial accounting and management reporting experience.
• Excellent Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach.
• The confidence to build relationships across the business.
• Experience within a multi-entity or group environment (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end process and management accounts for the UK business.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journals and cash flow forecasts.
• Manage intercompany accounting, FX reporting and compliance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting.
• Partner with operational teams to provide commercial insight.
• Support European subsidiaries and group reporting.
• Assist with year-end audit and statutory reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and controls.

Working closely with the Group Financial Controller and CFO, you'll take ownership of the UK finance function while supporting international operations, giving you broad exposure across financial reporting, commercial finance and business partnering.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Owning the month-end process and management accounts for the UK business
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journals and cash flow forecasts
• Managing intercompany accounting, FX reporting and compliance
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting
• Partnering with operational teams to provide commercial insight
• Supporting European subsidiaries and group reporting
• Assisting with year-end audit and statutory reporting
• Driving continuous improvement across finance processes and controls

About You
