Job summary

Venture Recruitment Partners are working with a market leading client in Reading to recruit a Financial Accountant for a 6 month contract. Hybrid working with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home, applicants must have right to work in the UK.

The role focuses on statutory accounts, tax compliance, and supporting audits within a dynamic finance team, utilising PowerBI for performance insights and maintaining robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering UK statutory accounts and tax compliance activities
• Advanced-level Microsoft Excel experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure financial results are accurate and fully compliant
• Provide support for annual statutory audit
• Provide support for all company and indirect tax returns
• Support the month end close process with the wider finance team
• Embrace PowerBI dashboards and big data to drive business performance
• Ensure effective internal controls are in place
• Support the UK’s Statutory Accounting Officer compliance programme
• Maintain the tax control frameworks, risk matrices and related narratives

• Working in partnership with the wider finance team, support the month end close process
• Embrace PowerBI dashboards and big data to drive business performance
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place
• Support the UK’s Statutory Accounting Officer compliance programme
• Maintain the tax control frameworks, risk matrices and related narratives

Key Requirements of the Financial Accountant include:

• Experience delivering UK statutory accounts and tax compliance activities
• Practical experience of using Microsoft Excel to an advanced level

Hybrid working - 2 days a week in the office, 3 days a week from home
