Job summary:

Provide oversight of the Financial reporting of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax rules while providing proactive management of the financial statements.

Job Summary

Hellios are looking for a highly capable and hands-on Financial Accountant to join their team in Oxford. You will be tasked with supporting the Finance Team.

You will be responsible for accounting for assigned entities likely to include deferred revenue calculations, payroll journals, fixed assets/depreciation, accruals/prepayments, VAT returns, and input to budget/forecast processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review of Group Consolidated management accounts and all financial statements to ensure proactive follow-up of issues.
  • Proactive first review of financial statements for all entities including progressing ongoing queries, identifying any concerns in the current month, and updating the statements as the company grows.
  • First point of contact for Group audit/Ireland audit.
  • Assist with completion of R&D tax credit claims in Ireland.
  • Assist with Banking & Payment Processes.
  • Act as a cover for signing off payroll each month.
  • Maintain an outlook on changes in appropriate GAAP and ensure the company is able to meet any new requirements and assist Head of Finance in ensuring the company stays compliant with relevant tax and accounting rules.
  • Management of reporting of Employee benefits to relevant tax authorities.
  • Work alongside Management Accountant providing coaching and guidance.
  • Assist with any projects as required by HoF (process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and setting up of new subsidiaries).
Skills & Qualifications
  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification.
  • Used to a multi-company environment.
  • Experience of working with multi-currencies.
  • Experience of using Xero and associated middleware/apps would be beneficial.
