Our Client

A leading renewable energy company based in Oxford.

The Role

As Financial Accountant, you\'ll play a key role in managing the financial health of the business, ensuring accuracy in reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering insights to support strategic decision–making. You\'ll be working closely with the Finance Manager and wider leadership team in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Main duties
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
  • Lead year–end close and liaise with external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant UK GAAP standards
  • Manage VAT returns and other tax compliance matters
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Assist in the development of internal controls and process improvements
  • Work with project teams on financial planning for new renewable assets
The Successful Candidate
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • 1–2+ years post–qualified experience, ideally in industry or from a practice background with relevant sector exposure
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
