Financial Accountant

£65k. Hybrid. London

We are working with a global SaaS business which works in the Blockchain space, regulating Crypto Currencies. It's doing brilliantly, serving a critical role in the new world and looking to build the team with real top talent. It's PE backed and has offices in London, NYC, Singapore and Tokyo.

The Financial Accountant role is ideally for someone who has worked in Audit in Practice and has a strong technical knowledge. Having stepped out of practice and done one role in industry would be perfect. An ACA qual from practice is the only profile we would consider here.

This person will work closely with all the finance team members to help establish and look after various accounting and financial control processes,with specific ownership over external audit, tax and corporate governance. This person will also play a central role in a function that drives the growth of the business by continually improving speed and integrity of management information for teams throughout the business.

What you’ll do?

This person will enjoy the satisfaction of closing month end to schedule and owning all elements of financial reporting and related regulatory compliance (tax filings, audits, and regulatory reporting).

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Regulatory

• Own the external audit processes end to end i.e. from planning through to the signing of the Group Consolidated Financial statements.
• Ensure compliance
• Supporting and working with local accounting, tax, valuation and corporate services providers in the UK, US, Singapore and Japan.

Operational

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports, and board / investor presentations.
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and be involved in other operational tasks

Strategic

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and financial system improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business decision-making
