Financial Accountant

Position: Permanent, Full Time


Work Arrangement: Hybrid role, combining remote and office-based work


About the Team

PPL's Finance team manages the planning, organising, auditing, and accounting of the company's finances. They handle all payments from PPL, including over 100,000 payments to performers and rightsholders annually.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements for review by the Finance Manager.
  • Assist in facilitating the year-end statutory audit, managing the audit timetable, and deliverables.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting for short-term and long-term investments.
  • Maintain relationships with banks and external contacts.
  • Prepare month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations, including all bank accounts.
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet summaries for finance committee reporting.
Requirements
  • Part-qualified, finalist, or qualified accountant working towards CIMA, ACCA, or similar.
  • At least 3 years of experience within a finance department in a commercial organisation or a mix of practice and industry experience.
  • Management experience.
  • Experience with financial reporting standards, banking, reconciliations, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and report-writing skills.
