We’re hiring for a Financial Accountant to join a growing finance team within a fast-paced, hybrid-working events business based in London. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant looking to take on a broad remit across month-end, reporting, team management, and process improvement.

Salary: £62,000 - £67,000

Location: Central London

Contract Type: Permanent

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with just 2 days in the office a week.

Key Duties:
  1. Prepare monthly management accounts and ensure timely month-end close
  2. Post accruals, prepayments, and all necessary journal entries
  3. Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations
  4. Deliver event-specific financial reporting and support wider business analysis
  5. Prepare and submit weekly cash flow forecasts to senior leadership
  6. Oversee VAT returns across the UK and several European jurisdictions
  7. Support interim and year-end audits, liaising with external auditors
  8. Approve staff expenses and oversee transactional finance activity
  9. Manage finance queries and invoicing via the JIRA ticketing system
  10. Supervise and develop Finance Analysts, encouraging team growth and collaboration
  11. Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders across commercial, delivery, marketing, and tech teams
  12. Help implement and improve financial controls and reporting processes
Key Skills:
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 5+ years’ industry experience
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, with hands-on experience preparing management accounts
  • Proficient in NetSuite and Excel (including VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables)
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members is desirable
  • Knowledge of VAT across multiple jurisdictions
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
