About the Role

We are partnered with a FTS250 property investment firm seeking a Financial Accountant to work on a portfolio of premium real estate assets of c. £1bio. This role offers the opportunity to be a key part of financial and regulatory reporting and performance analysis for high-profile properties, ensuring robust financial control and enabling strategic decision-making across asset management, leasing, and joint ventures. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate recording of property income and costs, aligned with leasing and asset performance
  • Actively manage asset-level balance sheets, ensuring reconciliation and timely cash distribution
  • Support the monthly close process and maintain a strong internal control environment.
  • Deliver clean audits and statutory financial statements for multiple entities and group reporting
  • Collaborate with credit control and asset management to manage tenant arrears and reduce provisioning risks
  • Oversee quarterly VAT returns and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Partner with outsourced financial operations providers to maintain high-quality reporting
  • Work closely with asset teams to deliver financial performance insights, forecasts, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Produce financial reporting packs for internal stakeholders, JV partners, and lender
  • Contribute to quarterly business plan reviews and financial projections.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for acquisitions, disposals, and other asset-level transactions
  • Ensure financial records are aligned with asset readiness for sale or acquisition
  • Identify opportunities for reporting, system, and process enhancements-particularly in analytics and automation
  • Contribute to broader transformation initiatives across the finance function
  • Build strong working relationships with commercial teams, outsourced managers, JV partners, and auditors
Minimum requirements
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualification
  • Strong background in financial accounting and controls/ audit
  • Experience in real estate is required
  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data
  • Advanced Excel skills
