Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Finance Controller for a growing, PE-backed manufacturing business in Liverpool. You will own statutory reporting, lead audits, and manage month-end close while strengthening financial controls.

You will partner with senior leadership and gain exposure to international operations across Europe, aligning with the company’s ambitious growth plans. This role offers a clear progression pathway toward Financial Controller, with exposure to ERP projects and opportunities

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience in statutory reporting and audits.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel and finance systems proficiency.
• Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and manage the annual audit process.

• Review cash flow reporting and strengthen financial controls.
• Support and develop junior transactional finance team members.

Description

• Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and manage the annual audit process.

Profile

• Strong financial accounting and statutory reporting experience.
• Audit background, ideally a first-time mover from practice.
• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel and good systems skills.
• Confident communicator with the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders.
• Ambitious, proactive and keen to develop towards a future Financial Controller position.
• A collaborative team player who can support and develop junior finance staff.

Job Offer

• Salary of £45,000 £55,000 plus bonus.
