Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Tax Compliance
  • Oversee timely month-end close and prepare financial reporting packs for business planning.
  • Review and post accruals/journals from other departments.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare corporation tax returns, including analysis of disallowable expenses and capital allowances.
  • Submit VAT and other tax returns, ensuring filings and payments are made on time.
  • Forecast balance sheet items during planning cycles and monitor accuracy monthly.
Business Partnering
  • Support Finance and Marketing teams with financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Drive best practices in financial controls and process improvement.
  • Lead or support internal control changes and project initiatives.
Audit
  • Handle queries and documentation requests from external auditors.
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts under IFRS and FRS 102.
Skills & Experience
  • Background in practice or industry with an interest in technical accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting/tax principles and internal controls.
  • Experience preparing corporation tax and VAT computations preferred.
