Job summary

A renowned broadcasting organization is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its dynamic finance team. The role involves preparing financial statements, managing audits, and advising on technical accounting issues. Ideal candidates will be ACA or ACCA qualified, with extensive auditing and financial accounting experience. This is a full-time interim position in London with a competitive daily rate of £350-£450.

Qualifications

• Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
• Solid knowledge of consolidation principles.
• Desirable: Big4 experience and exposure to data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare standalone financial statements and notes for UK entities.
• Support preparation of parent company consolidated accounts.
• Liaise with external auditors to resolve queries.
• Advise on technical accounting issues including revenue recognition.
• Assist with budget forecasting and management reporting.

Skills

Strong auditing and financial accounting experience

Proficiency in Excel

Experience leading or mentoring junior team members

Knowledge of IFRS and FRS101

Key responsibilitiesoftherole:

• PreparestandalonefinancialstatementsandnotesforUKentities
• Supportthepreparationofparentcompanyconsolidatedaccountsandyear-endsubmissions
• Liaisewithexternalauditor storesolvequeriesandensuresmoothaudits
• Adviseontechnicalaccountingissues,includingrevenuerecognition,investments,impairment,leases,tax,FX,consolidation,andeliminations
• Partnerwithfinanceteamstomaintainfinancialaccuracyandtaxcompliance
• Providefinancialdatatothetaxteamandsupportforeignexchangemanagement
• Reviewandreconcilebalancesheetsandintercompanyaccounts
• Supportmonth-endandyear-endcloseprocesses
• Assistwithbudgeting,forecasting,andmanagementreportingasrequired
• Identifyprocessimprovementsandsupportfinancetransformationinitiatives
